Lisa Sniderman, a.k.a. Aoede, has a "quirkly soprano voice and compelling pop music music sound like Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Specktor, Lily Allen."

Sniderman, a folk musician from San Francisco, and former environmental scientist for the State of California has been showered with awards for her music this year, including the 2012 Artists in Music Awards - Best Folk Acoustic Artist and Album of The Year for 'Affair With The Muse'. Just after our interview she received two more awards from the Indie Music Channel; Best Female Folk Artist and Best Folk Video Under 5,000.

Lisa is an environmental activist, using her song, "Blue Gold" in conjunction with 2009's Coastal Cleanup Day. She is also co-founder of Women Rock and works to raise awareness for Dermatomyositis and other muscular diseases like the one she suffers from.
