Butterflies Radio @IndieViews Artist Spotlight - Merry Ellen Kirk - 4/16/12

Merry Ellen Kirk is a 21 year old pop singer/songwriter from Nashville, TN who first decided she wanted to play the piano while living in Mongolia with her parents, who were living there as missionaries. As soon as she returned to Memphis, TN, she began taking lessons and music became an important part of her life.

Since then, she has become part of the duo known as The Shakespeares, along with Aaron Krause who is the producer of her solo album, "Firefly Garden."

She is currently working on a songwriting venture with friend and fellow musician, Rachel Pearl.
One of the more ambitious tasks Merry Ellen took on was putting words to the classic piano piece by Debussy, Claire De Lune.
